1. Learn all the words to Brokenhearted: I've been loving this song by Karmin and I would like to learn all the lyrics without messing up. Mainly on the rap part. :)
2. Take a trip to the beach: Enough said. I want to take at least a day trip to the beach. Probably Ocean City.
3. Read Anna Karenina: I'm currently around page 50. It's a pretty long book.. almost 500 pages? And it's kind of a hard read, but I'm determined to finish it before the movie comes out. It's pretty good so far too.
4. Finish gryffindor blanket: A while back I decided to crochet a gryffindor baby blanket (looks like the scarfs).. It took me forever to find the right colors, but I finally did. Once I was a little ways in I realized I made it way too big (lame me), so now it's a regular person size. I'm still thinking about putting it in my hope chest and just giving it to my kid once they get out of the crib.
5. Eat only locally for a week: I'm really wanting to do this. It's important to me to support small, local businesses, plus local produce is great. I'll have to search for a few places that are local, but I think it will be a lot of fun. :D I'll be sure to blog about it.. I plan to start in about 1-2 weeks when I get home.
6. Go to a yard sale: I love them and I want to wake up one saturday morning and just go yard sale hopping! :)
7. Shoot 10 rolls of film: I really want to get a lot of practice in this summer.
8. Watch 10 indie/10 foreign films: Indie and foreign films are my favorite kind and what I want to get into eventually... So I figured it would be good for me to check out what's out now. Btw my favorite indie film is My Blueberry Nights and my favorite foreign film is August Evening. (If you like indie/foreign films let's be best friends. :D)
9. Increase wardrobe twofold: Ok. I'll be honest with y'all I don't have many clothes. It sucks. Mainly cause I hate shopping (usually)... but I'm excited to go shopping this summer! Me and my two best friends have decided that this summer we are going to spend a day at each others house going through clothes and getting rid of stuff we don't wear (not much in my case lol) and then we are going to go shopping and buy a bunch of basics! I'm excited about it.
OKAY. That's my summer checklist. I actually had one other thing, but I can remember it. Oh well..
If you have a summer checklist be sure to share it with me! I'd love to hear what you're doing.
-K
PS. I'll be sure to blog about completing each item on the list. :)
First, in response to your comment on my blog: I was in the area yesterday! I'm sad I didn't get to see you! Oh, and I am so interested in the beach.
ReplyDeleteNow, for your post:
I started reading Anna Karenina before. I don't think I got very far, but I really enjoyed what I read. I have a hard time finishing any books, and since that one is so long, I'm not making it a priority. Right now, though, I'm trying to read Crime and Punishment. That one is difficult :P
Eat locally - what a fun idea!
Yard sales - I went out Friday morning and passed so many yard sales, but I couldn't stop! It was so sad. You should definitely share any exciting finds when you go :)
Ten rolls of film - easy peasy. At least, I would love for someone to donate ten rolls of film to me. If I could afford it, I'd only use film.
My Blueberry Nights - that was so cute! I was surprised by how Norah Jones' voice sounded, though. Although, I have to be honest, I don't think I'm big on indie/foreign films (but maybe I haven't seen many foreign films).
Heh. I don't get the comment thing, either, so I'll reply here :)
ReplyDeleteI had no idea Anna Karenina was going to be a movie (I forgot to add that in the first comment/novel I left).
I don't know what Game of Thrones is.
Is it really $15? I was thinking it was closer to $8 - if you just got the film put on a CD, anyway. I like that because I usually want them on my blog, and then I can print them if I want them. That'd be really cool to develop them yourself, though.
And I'm sorry about your dslr! I hope you can get it fixed.
